Who operates the app
VoiddAudio is provided by Voidd-ish. For privacy questions, requests or support, contact support@voidd-ish.com.
Local audio, video and lyrics
VoiddAudio reads media files and their metadata from the Android media library or files and folders you select. It uses these files to provide playback, local search, album/artist/folder/genre browsing, embedded artwork, lyrics, visualizations, metadata editing and video-to-audio conversion. Local audio, video and lyric contents are processed on your device; the app does not upload their contents for playback, conversion or editing.
Information saved on your device
The app stores library entries and file references, playlist entries, metadata overrides, matched lyric-file references, play counts, recently played timestamps, playback bookmarks, the last playing queue, preferences and cached artwork in its local app storage. These records are not sent to the developer. Temporary conversion or tag-export files are kept in app storage during processing and normally deleted when processing finishes. An interrupted export may leave a partial file in the destination you chose.
Optional online artwork
Online artwork lookup is off by default and requires your explicit consent. When enabled and an allowed internet connection is available, the app sends album and artist names from your library to Apple’s iTunes Search service and artist names to Wikimedia’s Wikipedia service to find missing artwork. Requests and image downloads disclose your public network IP address and a VoiddAudio/version user-agent; ordinary connection metadata may also be visible to those services and their image hosts. The developer does not receive these requests or operate an artwork backend. These providers may log or retain requests under their own policies. We cannot control or delete their logs, promise that processing is temporary, or guarantee that a match is available. Retrieved images are cached on your device. Disable online artwork in Settings to stop future lookups; an already-started request may finish. Cached artwork remains available offline until you clear it.
Permissions and device features
Audio/media access permits scanning and reading your local music library. Video access permits browsing and playing your device’s videos; on supported Android versions, you can limit access to selected videos. Folder and document access applies to files you choose through Android’s pickers. Android’s RECORD_AUDIO permission is used only for the platform playback-session visualizer; the app does not use a microphone recorder or save microphone recordings. Notification and foreground-service permissions provide user-controlled background audio and playback controls. Wake-lock support helps playback or a visible processing screen continue. Internet/network-state permissions support optional artwork lookup. Hardware-accelerated rendering and media decoding run on your device and do not transmit media.
Sharing and exported files
Sharing happens only when you choose Share and select another app or recipient using Android’s share sheet. That chosen app receives the selected media and may handle it according to its own policy. Metadata export and conversion write files to the destination you select. Exported files may contain audio and metadata you supply; keep or share them as you choose.
Ads, analytics and accounts
VoiddAudio has no registration or login, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, remote playback-history database or automatic crash-reporting SDK. It does not request an advertising ID, contacts or location permissions. The app itself does not infer your location from your IP address. Google Play, Android and any services or apps you independently use may process data under their own policies.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Local app records and cached images remain on your device until you delete them, clear Android app storage or uninstall. Settings → Clear local library & playback data removes app-managed library/playlist/metadata/lyric references, play history, bookmarks, saved queue, cached artwork and temporary processing files, and releases persisted document grants. This action does not delete your original music/video/lyric files or exports saved outside app-private storage. You can separately clear cached artwork, disable online lookups, revoke permissions in Android Settings, or use the app offline. App backup is disabled. There is no app account or developer-held account data to delete. Third-party artwork-service retention and deletion are governed by those providers.
Security
Optional artwork requests use HTTPS; cleartext network traffic is disabled. App-managed data is kept in Android app-private storage, and media access uses Android permissions and selected-document grants. Sharing grants access to the file you choose. No device or network can be guaranteed completely secure; use your Android security controls and share files only with recipients you trust.
Children and changes
The app is intended as a general-purpose local media player and is not specifically directed to children. It does not curate or supply a content catalogue; users choose their own local media. The developer must select an appropriate target audience in Google Play before release. This policy may be updated when app behavior or requirements change. The effective date appears below; review the policy provided with the version you install.
